Under the purview of this $5M, 5-year CEI Inspection Support Contract, our role is to supply proficient and experienced CEI personnel to assist North Dade (ND) and South Dade (SD) residencies in addition to District 6 Construction across a spectrum of construction projects. We are providing several positions including, CEI Project Administrators (PA), CEI Assist Project Administrators (APA), CEI Contract Support Specialist (CSS), CEI Associate Contract Support Specialist (ACSS), CEI Resident Compliance Specialist (RCS), CEI Senior Inspectors (Asphalt; Signalization/Street Lighting), CEI Inspectors (I), and CEI Secretary/Clerk Typist (SC).

This $1,500,000 per year, three (3) years, with two (2) one-year renewals contract will provide CEI Support personnel to inspect and administrator projects for HBMD. In a strategic alignment, we have partnered with 20 CEI Consulting Firms to form a team uniquely qualified to administer this contract. Our proposal delineates our comprehensive understanding of HBMD needs, goals, and objectives concerning the work authorization driven contracts, as well as our overall approach to support the agency's mission successfully.

F&J was selected as the Prime Consultant on this Est. $8.5 Million-dollar project. FM # 446200-1-52-01 is a Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (RRR) project along Pines Blvd (SR 820) from SR-93/I-75 (MP 5.861) North on-ramp to East of NW 118 Avenue (MP 7.87) in Broward County. SR 820 is an eight-lane divided urban principal arterial road, featuring predominantly 11-foot travel lanes in each direction, 5-foot bike lanes, and other elements such as raised landscape median, curb and gutter, and 4–10-foot concrete sidewalks on both sides of Pines Blvd. The scope of work includes milling 2.5” of asphalt along SR820 Pines Blvd (within project limits) and repaving a total of 2.5” of asphalt (1.25” of structural layer, and 1.25” of friction course). Just north of SR 820 Pines Blvd, at SR 823 Flamingo Rd, it is proposed to mill down 1.25” of asphalt and resurface 1.25” of friction course. Other activities include signalization improvements at several intersections such as SR 820 and SW 118th Ave, SW 129th Ave, SW 136th Ave, and SW 142nd Ave. At the northwest corner of this last intersection, a new mast arm will be installed. On westbound Pine Blvd, the project will add an additional 12-foot right turn lane to the NB I-75 ramp, starting east of 142nd Ave. Lanes along the project corridor will be restriped to accommodate buffered bike lanes, featuring green-colored pavement markings at conflict zones and other pavement marking upgrades. The project also encompasses signage, transit enhancements at bus stops, landscaping, bringing existing pedestrian curb ramps up to ADA standards, and the addition of a shared-use path along the north side of SR 820 Pines Blvd, including new lighting (plus retrofitting existing ones).

Lead by HDR, we will partner with FTE to identify the Turnpike’s Work Program needs, including gaps in support and staffing opportunities, develop program management plans, and provide a broad and deep pool of qualified professionals to meet the ever-changing needs of your Construction and Materials Work Program. As with any large, multi-disciplined GEC contract, we understand the need to flex and reach as the GEMC Program evolves.
F&J Engineering was awarded as the Prime Consultant for the PNC2126367P1 CEI Services for Port Everglades By-Pass Road in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
F&J was selected as the Prime Consultant on this Est. $40 Million-dollar project. This prominent project is situated within the City of Fort Lauderdale in Broward County and encompasses the construction of a 2-lane Port Everglades by-pass road. The project serves to connect two distinct sections: 1. Spangler Blvd., extending from Miami Road to Eisenhower Blvd., and 2. Eisenhower Blvd., stretching from Spangler Blvd. to North of SE 20th Street. The primary objective of this development is to alleviate vehicular congestion at the intersection of US-1 (SR 5) and SE 17th Street, and along SE 17th Street, by facilitating vehicular access to the new A1A Bypass Road. The scheme will create a connection from Eisenhower Boulevard south of SE 17th Street to State Road 84 (SR 84)/Spangler Boulevard/SE 24th Street through improved surface roads and an elevated roadway bridge.
This $5 Million-dollar Broward Operations Continuing CEI Consultant Inspection Support Contract will provide qualified and experienced CEI STAFF to support Broward Operations on a variety of construction projects as well as in-house support. These projects are typically smaller in scope, cost, and duration than larger projects and start and stop at a moment’s notice.
F&J was selected as part of the Team to provide the cable stay bridge project administrator for this highly significant project that is set to start 1/2024. Work Includes: Installing a pedestrian bridge over SW 8 Street and the C-4 Canal, west of SW 109 Avenue; Providing pedestrian plazas with elevators and stairs on the north-end and south-end landings of the pedestrian bridge; Installing a signalized east/west crosswalk along SW 109 Avenue, north of SW 7 Terrace; Upgrading pedestrian signals, signs and curb ramps; Closing existing historical bridge over the C-4 Canal east of SW 109 Avenue; Eliminating north/south crosswalks at the SW 8 Street and SW 109 Avenue intersection; Removing remaining portions of existing structure in conflict with proposed improvements; Construction is expected to begin in early 2024 and last about two years.

F&J was selected as part of the Team to provide a Project Administrator and Inspection staff for the CEI Services to widen both eastbound and westbound Indiantown Road to improve traffic flow and accommodate the increasing traffic volumes near the I-95 interchange in the town of Jupiter, as well as to extend the life of the existing pavement through milling and resurfacing of SR-706. This project is set to start 9/2023
F&J Engineering Group was selected as part of the winning Team to provide CEI Inspection Support for FM numbers, two on Broward Blvd (FM# 441799-1-62-01 and 446094-1-62-01) and one on Powerline Rd (FM# 446096-1-62-01). The proposed improvements consist of lighting, signalization, ITS, bus stop relocation, milling and resurfacing, new bicycle and pedestrian warning signs, and the addition of adaptive signal control system at all the intersections within the project limits
This $1.5 Million-dollar CEI Miscellaneous Contract will be to provide office and administration support for LAP projects in District 6 at their North-Dade and South-Dade Construction Offices in Miami, Florida.

F&J was selected as the Prime Consultant on this $6.4 Million-dollar project which consists of milling and resurfacing the existing travel lanes, widening the roadway to accommodate designated bike lanes, adding a sidewalk along the west side of the roadway between Opal Towers and SE 10th Street, upgrading existing mid-block pedestrian crossings with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon Signs, raising the roadway elevation from 900 Hillsboro Mile to south of Le Baron Apartments.
