F&J Engineering was part of the winning Team selected for 441631-1-62-01 - CEI Services for RRR project on SR-25/US-27 from the Hendry/Palm Beach County Line to SR80/E Palm Beach Road in Palm Beach County.

The scope of work for this Estimated $20 Million-dollar project consists of widening the existing outside 4’ shoulders to 10’ shoulders, regular excavation, optional base, milling and resurfacing of the mainline (with High Polymer Low Lane), new and reset guardrail, new signalization, and lighting at the intersection of SR-80, sidewalk connectivity between NW 3rd Street and NW 4th Street, curb replacement and ADA curb ramps upgrades with detectable warnings in the urban section, and signing and pavement markings throughout.

F&J Engineering was part of the winning Team selected for this project that consists of milling and resurfacing of the Florida’s Turnpike Mainline (SR 91) between MM 112.212 to MM 117.843 (MP 39.027 to MP 44.561) and the Indiantown Road interchange ramps in Palm Beach County (93470). Additionally, safety improvements under this contract consists of raising the guardrail height, ITS improvements, lighting upgrades, new roadway signage, and box culvert repair.

Grouping of 12 proposed projects for FDOT District 6, Miami Beach and Miami, FL

    This Five year grouping of projects entailed blasting and coating structural steel structures, cathodic protection through pile jackets, full deck replacement and partial deck replacement utilizing hydro blasting to provide a uniform deck surface, spall repair, repair and recondition existing bascule bridge machinery, fender system repairs, crack injection, and navigational lighting.

F&J Engineering was awarded as the Prime Consultant for FM# 441633-1-62-01 (SR-882/FOREST HILL BLVD FR SR-7/US-441 TO PINEHURST DRIVE).

F&J was selected as the Prime Consultant and the project consists of resurfacing, rehabilitation, and restoration of 2.87 miles along Forest Hill Blvd. The project’s scope is to update existing roadway, pedestrian intersection lighting, and pedestrian signalization facilities to current standards. Video detection devices will be added to mast arm intersections throughout the corridor. In addition, upgrades to the bus stops will be done throughout the project limits. Forest Hill Blvd./SR-882 is located within Palm Beach County, with a portion of the roadway within the City of Wellington.

F&J Engineering was awarded as the Prime Consultant for the $100 Million-dollar Project - SR-90/US HWY-41/Tamiami Trail from Structure S-333 to Structure S-334 in Miami, FL.

FIN 444444-2-52-01. This Project, undertaken in partnership with National Park Services (NPS), FDOT and FHWA, is the largest ecological restoration project in the Continental US. This Project is made up of 3 Segments between SFWMD Structure S-333 at the western limits and east of Structure S-334 as the eastern limits for 11 gross mi. less the 2 completed projects (TTP1 and 1 mi Bridge) for 7 mi approx. The project includes the reconstruction of the existing two-lane roadway and shoulders; realigning and raising the profile of the existing roadway approximately two feet, placement of geosynthetic reinforcements for roadway and base reinforcement, utility coordination, construction of 7 drainage culvert crossings, 6 bridges of 60’ span each, construction of drainage swales and harmonizing the proposed roadway to adjacent properties and SFWMD canals within the project limits.

Tamiami Trail Everglades Restoration Next Step Project wins the 2020 FDOT/ACEC the Outstanding Environmental Project Award.

Lead by Senior Project Engineer, Francis R. Chin Sr, P.E., this project is the largest ecological restoration project in the Continental US. The elevated bridging helped to increase and restore natural water flows into the Everglades National Park (ENP), an International Biosphere Reserve and the largest tropical wilderness.
